I've been getting requests for pictures.
Here you go!
Pic #1: This is Mt. Rainier from the air. Taken on a clear day on our first trip back to the NorthEast.
Pic #2: Driving the backroads. These are the Cascade Mtns. Aren't they gorgeous?
Pic #3: This is Snoqualmie Falls. The picture doesn't do it justice. It really is impressive. You can hike down to the bottom of the falls if you want to get a big closer. The walk down wasn't bad. The walk up, mmmm, not so good.
Pic #4: As the whole world knows (and felt compelled to remind us continuously before we moved here), Western Washington is known for its rainy weather. One of the cool things about all this wetness is the rain forest look it creates. Check out those cool mossy trees.
Pic #5: We made a visit to the Woodland Park Zoo. It was really cool. The animals actually seemed happy. Usually, when we go to a zoo the animals all stare at you as if to say, "Help me." Here's a particularly happy grizzly bear.
Pic #6: They had a "feed the birds" exhibit at the zoo. You know I can't resist those things. I'm such a sucker.
Pic #7: A couple of weeks ago we went along with some friends to hike up a small mountain. By this time I was just about 7 mths prego. Not a wise idea. The payoff was a veiw of some really big mountains and a nice BLT with a side of potato chips for lunch.
