Hi there. I'm still here. I promise.
Time to get you up to speed.
Time to get you up to speed.
The only word I have for the photo below is....
AWWWWESSSSSOMMMMME!
Dress-up is still huge around here. We go through about
a dozen costume changes PER kid PER day.
Here is Lady Sylvanas......
.....and her side-kick "I Shoot You" Jones.
There was a sunny and dry weekend day sometime
at the beginning of February. A perfect day to hit the slopes.
And that's just what we did.
Here's Mikey preoccupying himself with a long and pointy stick.
Mikey started to get a bit cold, so it was chill out time by the fire.
Meanwhile, Katie got her snow groove on.
Here she is waiting patiently for the "magic carpet."
Of course, when the day was all done it was
hot chocolate time.
I swear she only skis for the hot chocolate.
Next up, Valentine's.
Katie made some of her own decorations.
Can you tell what this is?
I volunteered to help out at Katie's school for her Valentine's Party.
Here she is eating snack at her table.
I was in charge of supplying and manning the "decorate your own cookie" table.
We had giant heart shaped cookies, chocolate/vanilla/pink frosting, candy hearts,
all sorts of sprinkles and shots, writing gel, and chocolate chips.
The decorating began......
This is Katie's end product. I think it ended up being close to about
5 pounds when all finished.
She ate THE WHOLE THING.
Mikey tried to decorate his cookie.
He managed to slather a dab of chocolate
frosting on it. Then he spent the rest of the time eating the
remaining giant frosting glob off of the knife.
It kept him busy for about 30 minutes.
Last week we had winter break.
After a few days inside, we were able to escape with a few friends to the
aquarium for Octopus week.
It's hard to take pics at the Aquarium. Not only is it dark everywhere, but you only
get pictures of the back of kids heads as they look into the tanks. Sigh.
Anyways. I think these are cute.
This one is of Katie and two of her old preschool buddies.
And this one is of Mikey and two of his preschool buddies that just happen
to be the younger siblings of Katie's preschool buddies.
Not only did we learn a lot about octopus, but Katie was able to love
on some sea animals.
Here she is posing with a "cute" hermit crab.
They have "touch" tanks at the aquarium filled with starfish, anemones, and urchins among
other things (some of which DO NOT belong in an aquarium as you will hear in the following video).
Not only could you touch them, but you could feed some of them as well.
Katie fed a sea urchin his lunch - sea weed.
Here's Katie giving something a hug.
The kids also played an octopus game.
Mikey didn't want to play.
He was grumpy.
Katie made a super-cute pink octopus.
Right before we left, we attempted a group shot.
Mikey was still grumpy.
One more time, with Mommies!
Here's some video to please the masses.
Enjoy!!
