Katie's AUGUST {writen by katie and photos provided by mommy (also edited mostly by katie)}

So, it was August.
Camping. Boredom. Swimming. Hikes. Birthdays. Baby Bunnies. Ice. Fairs. Mountains.
Weird caves (well...technically they were lava tubes...but whatever).
That pretty much sums it up.

....I have nothing to do now.
I guess I'll type a larger summary of August....

First up, camping.
MARSHMALLOWS!!!!!!!!!
I prefer them remotely burnt and on fire.
Daddy and Mikey, not so much.

A bit after this picture was taken, I sat on a wasp and got stung.

If we go to a campsite, it must have giant sticks.
This one ended up stabbing me when I was playing with it. It gave me a scar.

We went hiking in some cool lava tubes at Ape Caves.
I have been told by a reliable source that the bathrooms there were, "Covered in flies and spider webs and the toilets went down into a hole and it smelled like pee."
Obviously, my source does not have proper grammar.

This would have been a nice picture except the headlamp ruined it. Darn you, headlamp!

We made it out alive!
What is up with Mikey's face?

Next up, swimming!
Lakes are the best body of water for swimming.
Daddy swam with us for a bit, but then he got cold and got out of the water.
Me and Mikey played for about 2 hours.
During this time period we: invented an under water language, found a ginormous underwater rock, and touched the bottom of the lake 9 feet underwater.

The next day, we got pancakes!

And guess what? It was my birthday!
YAY!!!
We drove from our campsite all the way to the Johnston Observatory near Mt. St. Helens.

We got to look through a giant window at Mt. St. Helens.

Mt. St. Helens is home to lots of pretty flowers!

Mikey enjoyed the view.

This dead tree looks really cool. It got knocked over when Mt. St. Helens erupted, or exploded.

Such a scenic view!

It was really hazy from the smoke from wild fires, so we couldn't really see Mt. St. Helens.

When we got home, we ate my favorite food for dinner!
Beef and broccoli is so nummy!
(nummy is my word for yummy)

Then I got this really nummy gluten free cupcake!

Next up, MORE swimming!
We went to Wild Waves to do some swimming and go on some rides.

WATER SLIDES RULE!!!

Daddy got cold again.
He's such a party pooper.

Me and Mikey went to the deep end of the wave pool and it totally freaked Mommy out.

Then me and Mikey tried to go as fast as possible on the lazy river. Mommy reminded us that it was supposed to go slow.

WATER SLIDES!!!!!!
With inner-tubes!

Mikey doesn't like carousels.

PEACE!

I think the person in the background is Daddy.

Mikey smooshed me half to death on the Scrambler.

And, then, BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!!
Here are some Infinity Gem cupcakes that I made for Mikey's party.
Each color is a different Infinity Gem.

Here's me with my friends Unnati (the one with the lime green shirt) and Becca (the one with the blue and purple bathing suit).

Inner-tubes are the best. Me and my friend Sofia went on a water slide together. It was really fun!

Party time!

Here is my marshmallow masterpiece. It's a dragon.

These were my cupcakes. I like to think they were very fancy.
I made them too!

After we were done with all that, we went to the Evergreen State Fair!
Petting Zoo cows are so cute!

Llamas are cute too!

And pigs!

Oh yeah, Mikey was there too. The deer tried to eat his shirt.

Then we went on this giant trampoline thing. It's fun. You can do flips!
PEACE!

My flips are totally more awesome than Mikeys!

Mikey attempted and failed to do flips.

WOO!

Then, we went on some rides!

AHH! WE TURNED INTO CATS!

We got some marionette dogs and brought them home.

Right before we left, I got this super cute duck cotton candy thing.

It was so cool watching the people make it!

I ate it in about two minutes. It was so nummy!

Ralph got a new pillow! Now he lays on it in my room.

Ralph....um....let's say found some baby bunnies.
We rescued them and here they are hangin' in a box.

Mommy set up a string over the bunnies nest so she would know if the Mommy bunny was still feeding them.

Then she fenced off the bush their nest was in so Ralph couldn't get to them.

This is a random picture of Mikey in his Link costume.

ICE CAVES!

Ralph really loved all the cold ice. He rolled all over it and got all dirty.

I got my calculator for Algebra! It's so cool!

More swimming!
Yay!
I'm the person standing on the diving block in the black bathing suit.

Ralph is sad that he couldn't swim in a lake.

I'm not even gonna ask.

Look at this super cool bright yellow bug!

Then it was Community Serve Day at my school! Here are me and Sienna (Mikey and my friend) cleaning up the school.

Here's my friend, Sofia, sweeping.

COMMUNITY SERVE DAY!!!

Look at this super cute bee!

I tried to sit in the little dump truck. I think I'm a bit too big.

We also decided to repaint our house

This is what it looked like before...

....and this is what it looked like after.

While we where going through my dresser, Ralph decided to sleep on my clothes.

Next Mikey went to his Open House to drop off his stuff for school.

Well, that's it for August.
And no. I am not writing ANOTHER summary.
PEACE OUT!

April 2024 - Part 2

I'm not gonna lie. The rest of April was about Cinderella and pretty much just Cinderella.  We arrived back from Mexico for the start of...
